Pies that SHOULD be “garage pies”. Our first addition to this new series is a delicious honey mustard grilled pork and sweet potato pie. Slightly sweet, smoky, flaky, and tangy. Would you try this absolutely scrumptious “garage pie”?

Recipe 10-12 huge pies (Recipe can easily be halved)
∙ 3kg Pork shoulder chops
∙ 3 Onions
∙ 4 Small Sweet potatoes ( I used the Orange variety “Borrie patat”)
∙ 1½ tablespoons Garlic flakes
∙ Fresh Thyme
∙ Fresh Rosemary
∙ Salt & Pepper
∙ Oil
∙ ½ cup Hot German Mustard
∙ 1 cup honey
∙ Storebought Puff pastry for the TOP of the pies ( 1,5 kg for all the pies)
∙ Storebought Shortcrust pastry for the BOTTOM of the pies (800-1100 grams for all the pies)

Wat van 'n fancy ham en kaas pasty? Die wat jy by die garage koop is maar altyd suinig met die ham en ek dink julle sal 'n baie beter job doen! Hoef natuurlik nie ham te wees nie, gammon of eisbein of iets sal nog beter wees!
