Welcome to the Salmon Runs YouTube. Enjoy the video. In this video, I will explain how to make tuna nicqua salad. First, let’s gather our essential ingredients. You’ll need fresh, vibrant vegetables such as crisp lettuce, ripe tomatoes, and tender green beans. Select highquality canned tuna, preferably packed in olive oil for the best flavor and texture. Don’t forget to hard boil two to three large eggs and prepare some small new potatoes, which are key components of this classic dish. Now, let’s prepare our vegetables. Blanch about 8 oz of fresh green beans until they are tender crisp. Then, immediately chill them in ice water to retain their vibrant color. Next, slice one pound of small new potatoes and boil them until they are perfectly fork tender. On a large platter, arrange a bed of crisp lettuce, sliced ripe tomatoes, and fresh cucumbers, creating a beautiful base for your salad. With your base ready, it’s time to build the Nikquis. Artfully arrange the cooked potatoes, chilled green beans, and quartered hard-boiled eggs over the lettuce and tomatoes. Next, gently flake about 6 ounces of your high-quality tuna over the vegetables, ensuring an even distribution. Finally, scatter some briney olives and a few capers across the salad to add that authentic tangy flavor profile that makes this dish so special. The perfect tuna nic needs a classic vinegrett. In a small bowl, whisk together 3 tablespoons of good olive oil, 1 tbsp of red wine vinegar, and a small amount of dijon mustard for a touch of tang. Season the dressing with salt and freshly ground black pepper to your liking. Just before serving, generously drizzle this delicious vinegrett over the entire salad, bringing all the wonderful flavors together. Thanks for watching. Consider subscribing if we helped [Applause]
