It’s a chum salmon fillet. While I’ve never seen that color, a chum salmon will become “barred” with colors from red to deep purple.

Yes im assuming thats the zombification process of zombies they turn more orange to red to decaying white then to dead rotten salmon lying in the stream cause they just fertilized the eggs

late season chum’s will get “tiger stripes” but imo they don’t taste great besides smoking or candied jerky.

Spawning chum salmon exhibit these colours. Not great table fare but edible in the smoker. I would advise only keeping chrome fish, and avoiding the coloured up ones as the meat is not nearly as good.

Do the chickens have large talons?
