Fantastic nose – dark red fruits like cherries.

Taste is equally as exquisite – plum and tobacco flavours and very full bodied. Still high in tannin and packs a powerful punch. Typical of Madonna del Piano.

Long finish and very refined. Top tier wine in the perfect drinking window with potential to age for another decade.

9.5/10. Perhaps £150/£200 per bottle.

    Cheers
    I had the voerzio disanfrancesco

Great for a very rich truffle pasta at home night

I don’t think it has any ageing potential but it’s ruby red color is beautiful and enjoyable on the palette
