Okay, so I’m still dreaming about my trip to Turkey and this spicy Turkish salad called Esme that I had there. I had it at the hotel buffet and as soon as I ate it, I rushed straight to the kitchen to ask the chef what was in it. She just smiled, her beautiful Turkish smile and listed the ingredients to me as I typed them into the notes of my phone. But honestly, my favorite part was the dressing. Turkish pepper paste, pomegranate molasses, lemon juice, extra virgin olive oil, and of course, seasoned with plenty of sea salt and pepper. She told me they serve this with barbecue meats, as a side salad, or in kebabs.
