Also does anyone know why it’s called toad in the hole? It’s Yorkshire pudding and sausages. Usually served with gravy

My wife calls fried eggs in the cut out center of toast “toads in a hole” 😆 this is funny, thank you for sharing! Looks great!

Looks great! I made one for the first time in ages recently and it didn’t rise as nicely as yours 😢

I’ve never had but would love to try! For some reason I always imagine it with a sauce/gravy

I’ve never seen one with rosemary before, and usually the sausages are fully covered by the batter when cooked (so that they don’t end up sitting in the open), otherwise, it looks nice.

Personally, I like to make small ones with cocktail sausages cooked in a muffin tin. Great way to mix up the sunday roast.

Nice and crisped up on the outside of the sausage, as it SHOULD BE !!!

  8. My mom used to make this, but with breakfast sausages. We also called Toad in the Hole.

Looks great, would 💯 make it disappear into mah belly.

Also, 100% confused by the name and would love to know its origin.

  10. I watched a spud truck video where an older woman said she was making a toad in the hole for dinner. After immediately looking it up, I’ve wanted one ever since (this was literally 3 days ago)
