Today we’re making a Cypriot Tuna Louvi Salad — a mix of traditional Cyprus flavor and Sri Lankan style!
Made with white kawpi (black-eyed beans), tuna, and fresh vegetables, this salad is healthy, colorful, and super easy to make.

🥗 Ingredients:

500g white kawpi (black-eyed beans)

1 tin of tuna (in oil or water)

1 onion, chopped

2 tomatoes, diced

1–2 green chilies, sliced

A small bunch of coriander leaves (coriander kola), chopped

Juice of 1 lemon

2 tablespoons olive oil

Salt

👨‍🍳 Method:

1. Boil the kawpi:
Wash the white kawpi (black-eyed beans) well.
Add them to a pot with enough water and a pinch of soda (baking soda).
Boil until the beans are soft but not broken. Drain the water and let it cool.

2. Prepare the salad:
In a large bowl, add the boiled kawpi, chopped onion, tomatoes, green chilies, and coriander leaves.

3. Add the tuna:
Open the tuna tin, drain it, and add it to the salad bowl.

4. Season:
Add olive oil, lemon juice, and salt. Mix everything gently until well combined.

5. Serve:
Enjoy your delicious Cypriot Tuna Louvi Salad chilled or at room temperature
