our fridge right now. Random other things that I need to use up. Yum. Wow. Sister Jos didn’t last very long. Oh, mate. I’m a legend. Hello everybody. How are we? I thought I would pick up the camera and vlog. I haven’t gotten much done today because I’ve been editing one of the last vlogs and I did the new daily vlog video and I really put a lot of time and effort into it. So, let me know if that’s kind of vlog that you like. It’s kind of a all in one day. get as much done stuff done as I can and just pump some things out so they’re not sort of single subject videos if that makes sense cuz some of them that I’ve done they’re not performing very well so if I’m going to put it inside a vlog it works a little bit better um I have got the pantry sorted super happy with that however the kitchen is no I got half of it done and the dishes that I did get washed and put there. They got put away. The dishwasher has finished. What I’ve been doing is I’ve been pulling the drawers out. So, they’re basically just air drying so the water is no longer pulling on top of all the containers. And I’ve got some boxes that I need to go chuck outside. I’ve just been throwing them out in the garden. I should show you a garden update. I will do a dedicated video because I want to harvest. I think there’s some things in there ready to go harvested and weeds. It’s always weeds. So, it is late in the afternoon and I actually need to get ready to go because mom and I are going to a new bingo thing that’s on to support a friend. So, we said we’d go. So, I have to go pick her up and then go to the thing. It’s kind of like double backing, but it’s all good. So, I’ve organized for last night. My brain was actually in gear dinner. So, I’ll show you that our fridge right now. I think I showed you yesterday that it was semi-organized. All the doors trying to shut on me. So, I meant to deal with this cream yesterday. I didn’t get around to it, but I’ it was in her fridge from the minute that she opened. So, as soon as I get some time, I’ll deal with it. I’ve got our other leftover cream there and this to make ice cream. And I’ll probably have to freeze that because my eldest said they are not interested in creambased things at the moment. So, got to love that. Just going to press this for a second so it doesn’t beep at me. Um, yeah, all the stuff to make sandwiches and random other things that I need to use up. I probably actually I might leave that to there. I might refill that. And also that’s sitting there as a visual. People will then see it and eat it. I pulled out a couple of bags of the chicken that we had frozen to defrost in here so I can cook them up for a bit of a meal prep. I’ve got this here for the meal prep. It’s taco meat. So hubby will just have to re that reheat that up. I’ve got myself a chiao mint. This is why I love leftovers cuz I can just throw it in the freezer and then when I need it, pull it out. And what’s Oh, there’s my pesto. Not pesto, ricotta and spinach. And I pulled some sausages out to make some sausage rolls, which I’ll have to do tomorrow. Now, uh we’ve got here Oh, that is soup for my eldest dinner tonight. I froze the other one and just random bits of shopping and the other shopping there that I still didn’t process. The bacon was the big packet from the shopping haul, but the other couple of pieces. I’ll sort that out tomorrow. Our freezer is looking a bit Yep. Some of it’s not too bad. Oh, this needs to get moved. I did sort out the vegetarian area minus that. We’ll sort that out. But everything else is just a little bit of a hot mess. I need to dedicate some time to sit down to that. So, I think I will empty the dishwasher and also get some meal prep things for the tacos. So, they just have to pull them out and eat them and see what else I can do. I’ve only got about half an hour cuz I want to make sure I’m leaving some good time to travel because there’s road works and everything else happening at the moment. So, I don’t want to be caught out. I don’t want to be late. My mom panics when I’m late. So, [Music] [Music] Hello. We are ready to go. I have packed the apple thing for my mom and the correct top. She’s like, “I can’t believe you tried to give me the other top.” I said, “I didn’t pay any attention. I really like that top as well. I like both tops.” So, no, I wasn’t trying to trade. I do like my top better, the white one with all the triangles. So, no, it was an accident. Oh my gosh. All right. Got my bingo bag there. I should have sorted it out for the other one. Bought me something else from T-Mo. [Music] Got to love it. All right, let’s go. Hello. No. Yeah, it’s bit. Here’s your diary. Oh, thank you. Right. Here’s your top. Oh, lovely. And here’s your apple thing. Oh, now half is what you gave me and the other half is mine. Okay. You can tell me which one is better. Hello. It is the next day and dinner went well last night having that pre ready to go. So now we’re going to prep some more things and I’m going to make some snacky things and some other bits and pieces. Attempt a pasta sauce. Scrolling on Tik Tok and going, “Oh, that looks easy. Let’s give it a go.” I’ve got sausages that I defrosted that I found in the freezer. Not that you can tell they came out of there, but I’m going to make sausage rolls probably for a very late lunch, but also there’ll be snacks there when hubby comes home from work. And I defrosted some chicken, actually three bags of chicken that two are for meals and one is to blanch so I can shred it to put into a kiche. I’m going to pull these out to try and make a pasta sauce and some spinach and ricotta I made. And I’ll make some canaloney type pasta. And we need puff pastry. I’ve got some capsic. So, we’ll see how that goes with the pasta sauce. I’m just doing half a bag of the frozen capsicum just to see how we go and the cherry tomatoes and just pulling off the vine. I think I’ll just cook all of them because they’re here and I don’t know what I’m doing now. Everyone else online said they had like a carrot and sweet potato and stuff. I’m just going to cook this as it is. I’ll just get some oil and I’ll put some minced garlic there and we’ll blend it up and I’ll throw this back in the freezer because I still have frozen tomatoes in the freezer from something else. I have vegetable oil. That’s all I own. I think that’s enough garlic. We don’t have any vampires to worry about around here. All right, into the oven now for about half an hour. All right, I’ll put the puff pastry out to defrost. What do we have to do? Do we have to put this in? Oh, that will roll up. Well, okay, let’s get a container. Oh, duh. I can just reuse this container. cuz I want to I want to cook in it. I would like to say that I don’t know what I’m doing. Does that look good? Oh, it’s breaking. Let’s put the rest of this on a plate. Put that in there. Oh, we’re making lasagna now, apparently. I think I need to Google. Do I do a white sauce or do I just do the red pasta sauce? I think I need to Google and find out. So according to Google, I Googled and came up with the recipe tin eats which was cool. And they say that you put some pasta sauce in there. They made a whole lot of stuff from scratch. Put it in here. Also, their thing doesn’t have as much pasta in there. Um, have less spinach and more product. So, you know, overestimated, right? Jeez. I’m going to use mozzarella because it will probably look good. I don’t know if we cover it with foil. All right, we’ll have a look after 10 minutes and see where we’re at. Is there a about spilled herbs like salt. Throw it over your left shoulder. Oh my gosh. Okay. Good old steak knife. probably need to make sure there’s enough for everyone. Actually, the less that’s in there. My son might eat it. If he doesn’t see the green stuff come out, he’ll be okay cuz he likes those little triangles from Audi. But if I overcook them and he sees the green stuff come out, then he’s not a fan. Less is more. That might be too much. I think it’s too much. Probably still too much. The first one is like a pancake. It’s always a bit wobbly. All right. Few pricks on top. I don’t egg wash this because I find that it makes the pastry too wet, especially if it’s older puff pastry. So, I’m going to stick this in the oven for about 20 minutes. We’ll see how we go and then we’ll cook it more depending on what it looks like. And also, I’m going to give these just a light wash and you can reuse them in the freezer between um meats that you need to freeze. They’re a great way to save and reuse in the kitchen. These have been cooking for 20 minutes. I’m just going to leave it to cool because my blender thing is plastic and I don’t want it to crack. So, here is the canoli that’s cooked. Apparently, you can peel the skin off the apparently. Oh, there we go. But also, I saw something that says, oops, if you keep the skins on, it helps it up. So, I’m just going to stick it all in here. Everybody pray. Gosh, that is powerful. Oh, mate, I’m a legend. I think maybe a little bit of sugar. It’s a little bit tart. Yep. Yes, I use the same spoon. It’s only me here. Okay, I’m really happy with that. Could put that in a bolognese. Could be base for a pasta. I think I might stick it in the fridge. Apparently, I can also mix in some patada sauce and use it in the base for lasagna, which I might do because I don’t have any other tinned tomatoes. But I’d be keen to try some of this on its own with pasta. So, stay tuned. Yum. I’ve impressed myself. This is now my lunch today. Although, I better save some for my daughter. probably could do I did lasagna and put some more sauce in between the layers. Oh, that was done. Our triangles and sausage rolls are ready. Some are a bit more brown than others, but it’s okay. And the triangles, they look beautiful. I’m very happy with those. Wow. Sy didn’t last very long. [Music] Have a look at one of these. Oh, nice and crunchy. Beautiful. Add a bit of garnish. Yum. All right, I’m going to pack these in here. That probably won’t last very long until hobby gets home. I should probably put them this way and visually you can see them. Okay. Um, Cara said she’s not a fan, so I’ll keep it for myself. Actually, I might even eat that for dinner tonight. My mom gave me these eggs. I don’t know how long these have been in. We’ll just cook them. Three, four, five, six, seven. Lucky seven. And I boil the kettle and I do hot water in there cuz it kind of reduces the cooking time. And now this will go on the stove for 10 minutes. And I’m stick the rest of these in here. and into the fridge. It’s one of my butters that I got from Foodland. It was $5 on clearance. Well, very good special for 500 g and you can get eight at a time. So, that’s what I grabbed. Half are in the freezer and the other half are in the fridge ready for some cookies. Where’s the bowl? Bowl will help. Okay, I’m going to get the rice on for dinner because it’s going to take a little while to cook and I would like some pictures of finished dinner. So, this is the cup that came with the rice cooker. three cups. I’m going to put some water in this and I’m going to give it a bit of a rinse. Drain out the water. Put some more in. I do that about three times. Okay, rice is coo washed and we’re going to fill up the water. same um to this line. That’s a three. Perfect. I just give that a little wiggle. And white rice. Simple as that. All right, put them back in there to cool down. We’re going to deal with the plantbased mince meat that we have. Of course, got on clearance. It’s usually about $10 a packet. So, I’m going to stock up when I can get it cheap. And because I’m lazy and I don’t want to cry, I’m going to use the chopper and have some mushrooms. Some of the bigger bits I will chop up while it’s in the pan, but we’re going to fry off the onion and the mushrooms in the pan. While that’s going, I’m going to start on the cookies. [Music] [Music] [Music] Okie dokie. So, there is about 2 tablebspoon of butter in there that we’re melting. I did weigh it. It is 45 g. I just eyeball it and I just keep moving it around because you don’t want the butter to burn. Then I just get some plain flour and I just tip it in there and stir it around. So this is what’s called a r I believe and you make kind of like a pastry ball. This is also how you start making like chew pastry or puff um what is it called? Cream puffs and chocolate claes and stuff. And I just stir that around a little bit until you sort of cook off the flour. Okay. And then oat milk. I just put a bit of a splash in there and I blend it through. Can you see? Is that better? Okay. And don’t take your eye off of it cuz it will catch. I just do bits at a time. Now, you can measure if you want to. I know that a lot of recipes will say two cups. I’ll just go until it’s sort of the consistency that I like. I also make a mess. I also have a spat um this is a spatula, a whisk. Sometimes a spatula is easier cuz you can flatten out all the lumps. When it gets to here, I’ll put a fair bit more in there and then I’ll usually move to a whisk. Every now and again I’ll wipe down the sides and then I’ll get the spatula in and push it around the bottom because sometimes there’s lumps and stuff. I’ve got it on a medium heat right now just because I’m experienced with making this. You might want to go on a lower heat. You want to keep stirring it as well because it might catch on the bottom as well. and the butter and the flour and then the milk. This is about 500 milliliters. So, yeah, about two cups if you’re making a small lasagna. If you’re making a bigger one, I’d do more flour and butter to start with. This takes a little bit longer to thicken up than a traditional milk, but you can see it’s starting to get thicker when it holds like that. It doesn’t run. Now, that’s still quite liquidy, but if you were to turn the heat off and let it sit, it will thicken up. Sometimes I will do that if I’m in a hurry. You can add cheese in there if you want. I’m just keeping it to the basics. I can feel that thickening up pretty good. Yeah. All right. I’m happy with that. So you can see it’s thickened up. We’ve made our white sauce. I just pour a bit in the bottom. Just helps for the pasta to cook a little bit. You could even add a bit more milk in there if you want. our pasta sheets from yesterday. A beautiful fit. pretty good layer. I do white sauce in between because I just think it helps the pasta cook. Bit of extra pasta. Never hurt anyone. And then the sauce on top and that’ll go into the oven for about half an hour. I’ll stick a knife in it and Is it done? [Music]

    Also you can never have too much garlic in my opinion 😂😂😂 I’ve definitely never been a vampire in another life lol
