6:30 a.m. I’m done washing up and making the blankets. I’m putting the bedding away. I can turn off the fan now. Starbucks’ Fall Blend. It’s the rich, roasted flavor of Starbucks coffee we all know. I’m going to make coffee for lunch, so I took out the six-cup pot. I’ll press the coffee grounds in like usual to make it strong. While the coffee is brewing, I remove the mask I’ve been putting on my face. The espresso is strong. I should drink it without water today. The cactus looks a little thin… I thought it was growing well, but the little guy behind me died. Instead, the big guy’s hair has started growing. Let’s tidy up the room. Put the books I took out unread back where they were. Let’s rebuild the collapsed wooden tower. My latest hobby: rebuilding the wooden tower. Poor construction. Oh, I didn’t see any gaps there. Should I fill them with tin cans? Incense sticks from the Donggu field. It’s called “Tranquil Forest,” and I like it because it smells similar to the fabric softener I use. It’s so peaceful. It’s 7:30. I packed my laundry and went to the coin laundry. I came home and was working, but then I paused for a moment. It’s already 11:00, and I’m starting to get hungry, so I think I should go to the supermarket and buy some groceries and make some food. I’ll be back. I’ll grab my shopping cart and head to the supermarket. What should I make? I’m having a hard time deciding. I’ve decided on a shopping list: cabbage, ham, carrots, fruit, and a snack . Let’s quickly pack the ingredients. One onion. Lots of carrots. (It’s in season now!) It’s a crime not to buy seasonal squash. (Deviating) Instead of cabbage, I’ll buy squash. One pack of bacon slices. (Deviating a second time) One pack of bay leaves. (Deviating a third time) I make a lot of soup when the weather gets chilly, so I’ll buy bay leaves. And a pack of vegetable side dishes. (Just buy whatever I want.) Mitarashi dango…so good. One pack. (Runaway) Stop by another supermarket and get a pack of figs. It’s important to slice all the ingredients thinly. Slicing them thinly allows the ingredients to blend together, creating a richer flavor. Take out a few slices of bacon and slice them thinly. The bacon has a slightly fishy texture. All the ingredients are ready. Heat olive oil in a pot. Stir-fry the vegetables you sliced earlier. Add the carrots and stir-fry together. Once the vegetables are sautéed, add enough water to submerge the ingredients. Pour in a generous amount of white wine. Add two bay leaves. For a clear broth, skim off all the foam. Bring to a simmer and you’re done. Mix together flour, cornstarch , and a little water to make a batter. Slice the sweet pumpkin into thick slices. Coat them in the batter and drop them into the oil. Instead of ham cutlets, make bacon cutlets. And that’s how the sweet pumpkin fritters and bacon cutlets turned out. And cabbage soup. Today’s table setting. I love pepper, so I’ll add a lot. It’s a flavor that warms the heart. It’s mild. Since there’s not a lot of seasoning, the natural flavor of the vegetables comes through. It’s mild. It feels like it’s healing my stomach… I once had a ham cutlet made with sliced ham at an izakaya. I remembered how delicious it was, so I tried to replicate it. The texture is really good. Are you eating a lot of delicious things this fall? If you go to the supermarket, you ‘ll find many cheap and delicious seasonal fall ingredients like sweet pumpkin, sweet potatoes, cabbage, etc. Seasonal vegetables are delicious even just steamed and eaten without any special cooking. I came to refill my fall blend. I’ll just buy 100g. – I’ll have a warm cafe mocha. – Would you like to drink it in the store? Sugar quick-charge. Alcohol quick-charge. Soju quick-charge. Custom-made soju that’s been kept. Fill the umeboshi with ice and pour in the soju. Cheers, umeboshi soju. I thought I couldn’t drink this, but it’s more delicious than I thought. It’s something like anchovy pancake, but I don’t know the name. Shishamo is really delicious. She said she would take a picture of me. It’s a bit awkward to take a picture of it… The orange thing I thought was pumpkin was actually carrot. Umeboshi shochu + carbonated water, it’s delicious and appetizing. I took a bite with just a little mustard. -First, eat it as is. -Then, dip it in soy sauce and eat it. -Then, -Without dipping it in anything, -Sprinkle some shichimi (chili powder), -Hachimitsu (honey)? -Shichimi (chili powder). (My ears are for decoration) -And lastly, soy sauce + shichimi. Crush the umeboshi and drink the last glass. And finish it off with okaka onigiri. -I was working right now, -I was just about to go to sleep while working. -I often hear people tell me I look like I’ve lost weight. Life on A4 paper… – But lately, I’ve been gaining weight so much… To bulk up, even if only slightly, I need to eat something. Let’s raid the fridge. Found figs. But that won’t satisfy my hunger. I moved my hunting grounds to the freezer. Found giant dumplings. Who lives in my stomach? I’m so hungry. Do you ever have days when you feel like you can eat anything? I’ll make yakigyoza. Crispy on the bottom, moist on the top. I ate 5 giant dumplings + 3 more. I turned off the camera and took the picture. For dessert, I bought Papico apple-flavored ice cream. It’s small. I should have eaten both. I like ice cream cones, but I was drawn to the apple flavor, so I bought an ice pop for the first time in a while. The apple-flavored ice pop is incredibly delicious. Let’s lure the runaway fat with sugar. There’s no dessert better than a giant cone. (Giant Cone Caramel Flavor) Ah… I hate melted ice cream. Ah, when did it melt… I ate it deliciously with a disgusted expression. Did you think it was over? The VIP refrigerator’s spending habits. (Yogurt) Don’t you have those days when you can’t seem to get enough hunger? On days like this when you feel like you can eat nonstop, even if you eat all you want until you’re satisfied, it digests quickly. The first bite is a raw fig that you absolutely have to tear into. Figs are truly… the taste, the aroma, the texture… there’s nothing lacking. The perfect food. I have to go make money. The rich vanilla yogurt that I always buy on my way to work. Phew… I’m home from work. For dinner, I quickly made mackerel miso stew and braised sweet pumpkin. On a chilly autumn day, let’s make and eat some warm and sweet carrot soup. I’ll make this Moroccan-style by selecting spices that go well with warm-natured carrots. There’s no specific recipe; I’ll just do it as my hands move. First, peel the carrots and roughly chop them. It would be nice to have onions, garlic, or paprika, but I doubt I have any. I have garlic. And garlic… and garlic… and garlic… I have garlic. I simply chopped the garlic. (Olive oil) First, sauté the garlic. (If you have onions, add onions too.) When the garlic seems cooked, add the carrots and sauté them together. Add spices. I chose a few spices I had at home. Sauté until the spices infuse the carrots with their aroma. Add water and bring to a boil. For a smoother taste, I’ll also add milk. I think I’ll add cinnamon. The carrots are sweet, so I think cinnamon would go well with them. Once the carrots are cooked enough to mash, I’ll blend them in the blender. The color is pretty. Umm, it’s sweet. If you eat it with Greek yogurt, the moderate acidity makes it three times more delicious. Carrots and yogurt go so well together that eating them together improves nutrient absorption. I played it all the time while working on “You and Everything Else,” and I finished it in no time. It was fun. I’m thinking about going out to see a movie. This year, to celebrate Evangelion’s 30th anniversary, they’re showing one film a month in the “Monthly Evangelion” program. It’ll be shown at select theaters from October 2025 to February 2026. I’m going to see the first one, Neon Genesis Evangelion. I’ve never seen Evangelion in a theater before … I’m excited. I have some time to spare, so I’m drinking coffee while I wait. I ordered a coffee with a slightly burdensome name. The name… I was just going to have coffee, but somehow I ended up ordering a crepe too. There’s something hard in it. Wow. Crepe + cookie… Memo, memo. The other one doesn’t seem to have cookies. This one has cereal instead. The cookies are tastier. When I came out because the movie was almost over, it started raining. (Including me) Ghosts who died because they couldn’t eat popcorn… I gave up and went into the theater because I thought I wouldn’t make it on time. Ah, I need popcorn… I should ‘ve just waited and bought it. I was happy enough without popcorn. I’ll go home. There are six movies scheduled to be screened, and I’ve already cleared the first one. I need to collect all the tickets. I think I’ll watch the movie at a different place each time. This is a small but certain happiness. One afternoon. I came to Baskin Robbins to buy ice cream. Chocolate, chocolate mint, cheesecake, etc. I chose six kinds of ice cream and headed to the L couple’s. -pinot -pinot -yes. Cute soul. I’m going to eat rocks. Do you have a shovel at home, by any chance? If not, a hoe would be fine. Phew… I should take a short break before eating. After eating ice cream, I took a short walk in front of the house. The weather was so nice and cool. Wow… I came to the new lounge at the L couple’s mansion. They said there’s a guest room next to the lounge. I’ll sleep here next time… Huh? Back home again. Last year, I came to give this guy water. I waited on the veranda sofa while I gave the baby a bath and put him to bed. zzz zzz Our dinner was Uber Eats. The stir-fried octopus that Mr. Poss loved and kept bragging about. I was going to try it last time I came, but there was a delivery error so I couldn’t. Mr. Poss said he wanted to come to Tokyo just to eat this stir-fried octopus. I’ll try it too. The visual is mouthwatering. The octopus isn’t too spicy or salty. It’s really delicious. I’m ready to talk about things I’ve been putting off. I have a lot to say. L couple and Pinot… Fighting~ Good morning. Radio on. I bought some new coffee beans. My radio, which has vocal cord nodules . Guatemala, which is good for daily coffee. It’s better to put them like this so there’s no confusion. The taste is good. It’s a strong coffee with a hint of cocoa. I think I should go coffee hunting soon to find some delicious coffee beans. I wonder where all the delicious coffees are hiding. Mr. OO from Chiba Prefecture. I’m planning to register my marriage this week. Oh, congratulations. I’m curious about what kind of wedding you’re having. I can’t really think of anything to plan for my own wedding, so I’d like to know what kind of ceremony you, the listeners, are planning and how you found a venue. My dad’s daughter’s wedding is next week… It’s supposed to be an outdoor wedding, and it’s been raining nonstop in Korea. I’m worried these days, wondering if I’ll be soaking wet at the wedding. I wonder if I’ll be soaking wet at the wedding these days. Six months ago, a message suddenly arrived in our family KakaoTalk group. (We’re getting married on the 00th of the 00th month… We’ve signed a contract for the wedding hall!) I thought, “What kind of wedding announcement is this, like making a reservation at a sushi restaurant?” But it’s already been half a year since that unexpected marriage confession. Hmm. It’s a rainy day. I’m going out to see an exhibition. I came to see the free Chanel exhibition. A vast amount of work from the workshops that worked with Chanel is on display. Since the exhibition is already over and reservations are required, many people might not have seen it. Let’s take a quick look with Correspondent Pinault. It’s divided into several sections, each with a unique concept. A tweed loom. Sounds fun. I want to try that too. A Coco Chanel mirror. Embroidery work. I enjoyed it. Chanel… I ordered chocolate cookies and a warm cafe latte. Crispy cookies? Soft cookies? I like soft ones. Oh yeah… soft and chewy. Good… sugar is dripping. The exhibition was free, but it was much richer than I expected. There was so much to see, I wondered what I saw. It was raining and I was too lazy to come, so I debated whether to come or not, but I had a great time. We went to a Thai restaurant for lunch. A mild, spicy green curry for a chilly day. I love the rich, sweet coconut milk flavor. And the subtle, refreshing spiciness. So delicious. So delicious. So delicious. What do you crave on these chilly days? Or what are you eating? Today, I had to have green curry. It warmed my body. I want something warm and creamy. First, cut the mushrooms into small pieces. I’ll slice the mushrooms I’ll use as a garnish and set them aside. The mushrooms are ready. Just chop them roughly . Once the butter has melted, add the garlic and infuse it with flavor. Also, add the green onions and onions I secretly sliced . When the ingredients are slightly translucent, add the mushrooms and stir-fry. Stir-fry well to prevent them from burning. The flavor intensifies when you stir-fry until the mushrooms shrivel. The mushroom and butter aroma will be strong. Once they’re thoroughly sautéed, add water and bring to a boil. Add a consommé cube. Oh, it smells delicious. Once it’s bubbling, turn off the heat, blend in a blender, and you’re done. Bread to eat with the soup. I picked up some bread from L’Atelier Deux Bread on my way home yesterday. This bread is so moist, chewy, soft, and delicious. Now, it’s time to grill the mushrooms for the garnish. I’m grilling the bread with brown mushrooms in butter. Once the bottom is cooked, flip it over once. Finish with pepper. I like a smooth soup, so I blended the ingredients finely in a blender . If you prefer a chewier texture, you can slice the ingredients instead of blending. I’m calling for comments . I made cabbage soup, carrot soup, and mushroom soup with my favorite ingredients. Do you have any favorite soups, recipes, or restaurants? This is a meeting to discuss our strategies for staying warm this fall and winter. I know a soup restaurant in Seoul… It’s in Mapo. I first went there eight years ago (I think) on a snowy winter day. I looked it up and it’s still in business. I can’t believe how delicious that soup was in that freezing winter, my hands were red. I’ll be waiting for your soup stories and tips (•´◡`•) I was going to lie down right after eating, but today I’m doing the dishes right away. That’s because I used a cast-iron pan and a cast-iron pot. I have to wash them right away, drain them, and dry them thoroughly. If you neglect it because it’s a hassle, you’ll end up making rust soup. Leaving moisture behind will stain, so wipe thoroughly. These days, I’ve been watching Korean dramas constantly at home. My K-drama big data, which used to be stuck on Dae Jang Geum, has been slowly updating, and I’ve caught up quite a bit lately. I spread it out on the table and let it dry completely. I have to attend my daughter’s wedding, so I’m going to Korea for a short while. So, I’m packing. I wrote a list and am checking it off one by one. Should I show you some of the things I’m packing? (If you run away, I’ll come after you.) Someone commented asking for a What’s in My Bag. (2 people) I use the Tamanohada product, which comes in an amenity size. When I travel or go away for a few days, I take this with me. If I’m going away for a week or more, I use it almost entirely. I’ve never seen it offline; I buy it on Amazon and use it. This is probably the real amenity? It’s Bvlgari body lotion. I found it somewhere… I think my mom found it somewhere when I went to Korea. Whether it’s been a day or a year, whenever I go out for an overnight stay, I always pack a toothbrush. People ask me regularly, so I remind them. It’s the “Clinica + 4-stroke + medium firmness”! My go-to toothbrush, which I can only use for small heads. It’s also cheap. And…what else? Small things, and emergency medicine. I can’t go out without it. I’m a smoker, so I have an electronic Cigarette… It’s a gastritis medicine, and this one seems to work better for me than Otai San. I don’t have much to eat these days, but when I’m sick, this instantly relieves the pain. I’ve had incredibly dry hands since I was little, so I’m a hand cream expert. This is great. The hand cream from the Indian brand Kama Ayurveda is really good, but I can’t buy it here… I can’t say no without it. I have so many odds and ends that if I don’t have a pocket to store them in, I’ll never find them in my bag. That Jo Malone lip balm in particular was a gift from Y-noona, and it’s the best lip balm I’ve ever used. It’s worth the price. This is the best. And what else can I show you? Oh, the important thing. This is a set of tweezers I bought on Amazon. These are super convenient. It comes with four different types, and all that unnecessary hair… This is all you need. Once you’ve packed, you need to check. Why did I write down a moka pot? – Let’s pack a moka pot too. It’s too much. Let’s just leave it there and go. And the accessory pocket. I packed a few necklaces and rings. Oh, I’m going to wear the rings on both hands tomorrow, so I left them by the front door. Fruit scissors. I found them at Yuzawaya a while ago and bought them. And I prepared a few clothes to take with me. I packed them like this. I even packed a suit to wear at the wedding. I think I just need to pack a few more pairs of shoes and a few more t-shirts. I think I’ve packed everything I need to pack, so I should quickly move everything into my suitcase, wash up, and go to bed. My flight is at 9 AM tomorrow… It’s already 2 AM and I’m screwed. (I ended up sleeping for an hour.) Then I’ll try to film another video in Korea.
