I used a plain Hero bagel but I imagine a Sola or 647 would work just as well!


Hero bagel – 130cal, 19g protein, 21g fiber

1 tsp avocado oil – 45 cal

Total: 175cal


Just slice them up really thin, toss with a teaspoon of oil, add salt (or other seasonings), and air fry. Shake a couple times through. I did 10 minutes at 350 then 3 more minutes at 200 because they were getting pretty brown. They look dark but don't taste burnt at all. They're pretty perfect, very crouton-like, and I ate them with a blended cottage cheese/French onion soup dip with canned chicken for an insanely high-protein snack.

Next time I'm gonna try with garlic powder or everything bagel seasoning. And then a batch with cinnamon and allulose (nonsugar sweetener). I might try cooking them on a lower setting to keep them from getting quite so brown but honestly they're amazing as is.
