Thinking of picking up a Weber Searwood XL and putting it where my current bbq and propane tank is. Is that a safe spot? I'd likely place a BBQ mat underneath to protect the deck from drips/grease.

Ive seen a lot of videos where people have a pellet smoker in location similar to that, just want to be sure before picking one up as id have no other place to put it

My pellet grill sits next to a propane gas grill and a propane Blackstone griddle. If there’s an issue I guess I’m screwed.

As long as you clean it often and always keep an eye on it go for it. I personally wouldn’t dare put any type of grill that close to a flammable material.

Camp Chef makes side burners for their pellet smokers and those attach to a propane tank.
