I am so exhausted. I just came home. I had an event and my daughter’s like, “Oh, let’s order.” I mean, they invited us to eat, but I wanted to get home. It’s a Sunday. I wanted to get home. So, Ariana’s like, “Let’s order food.” I’m like, “You know what? I’m not in the mood for anything cuz to me, a nice plate of spaghetti with clam sauce. You can’t beat any takeout.” So, I’m going to put this together in 5 minutes. I won’t eat it. Okay. Extra virgin olive oil. Here we have the stems from my yard, actually, of parsley. We’re going to throw in some stems. I’m going to melt down a little bit of anchovi paste. I’m going to put a little bit of crushed pepper just to give it a little heat. Lots of garlic, guys. Lots of garlic. I’m going to put four cans of clams in the juice. And we don’t need fresh clams. You can make it just with the cans. It’ll be delicious. Put a little bit of white wine. And I’m also going to put a little bit of extra clam juice. So, what I’m going to do when it’s very al dente, like half cooked, I’m going to finish cooking it in the skillet. We’re going to zest the Look at the size of this lemon, guys. We’re going to zest the lemon. This is the most gorgeous lemon I ever saw in my life. There’s no seeds and it’s gorgeous. We’re going to squeeze it. I mean, there’s no pits, but just in case, I’m squeezing it over the zestester here. This is a big lemon, so I’m only going to use half. I couldn’t help myself, guys. I took a piece Oh my god, I love eating lemons. Going to put some salt and we’re going to put some black pepper. Okay, the stems did their job nice and nice. And now we take them out. When it’s half cooked, okay, you put it, it’s really still really hard. Okay, we put it in the liquid. Okay, what I’m going to let it do is I’m going to let it absorb most of this water and let it cook in here. I have the other water still boiling boiling on the side just in case we need more water. Uh the starchy water from the pasta. We could always add more. Okay guys, look at how beautiful it is. It’s still very al dente the way I like it. I didn’t need to put any more water. It’s perfect the way it is. Now we’re going to hit it with lots of fresh parsley. And I’m just going to put a little more fresh extra virgin olive oil. Fast food. Are you crazy? Oh my god. Am I eating good tonight? Okay, guys. Let me plate myself. Just like that, guys. M. Put a little of the juice from the bottom over here. Put some on top. Like that. Extra black pepper for me. And I don’t care what you guys say. You’re wrong. It tastes so much freaking better with some pecorino on top. Guys, look at that, guys. How good this is. Oh my god. So lanoy. So annoying. It’s how I do it.

I do canned clams too… I do minced,chopped and whole baby clams add shrimp and lobster great eating…
Never boil your clams. They are already cooked, add than when you are ready to serve! You’re welcome! I use chicken bouillon instead of anchovy past and lots of basil and tons of cheese. I don’t care about the rules, I grew up in Queens.

the brand of skillet/fry pan she’s using??? I need a good sturdy frying pan that won’t stick and won’t end up warping or having a high spot in the middle or something. All my pans end up not being flat after a short time it seems no matter how hard i try and how gentle i am with taking care of them!

Great dinner I’m Irish but grew up with a lot of Italian American girls and their Moms cooked like you. I learned so much and yes they all put cheese on seafood too.

Thank you for the cheese.. I put cheese on all my pasta. Got reprimanded many a times at restaurants back in the 80s and beyond about no cheese on seafood. Anyways I can u bring me a side of cheese🤣
