I have been making Christmas cookies as a hobby for years, but this year started doing more. I have only ever made them for friends and family for Christmas. This year, I started watching TT and really branching out from recipes and techniques that I have used in the past. Anyway, here are what I’ve done the last few months. Do you think I could/ should sell to this person? Or should I give her a local contact of someone who has an established business?

Start selling! You have the skills and I found that making the leap to selling helped me improve a lot!! Getting orders is so fun, and it’s great to be able to try different things you never would have thought of. Plus, you can start making money to invest in better tools!

If you want to. Going from hobby baker to someone who sells their baking is… sometimes just not fun for people. Once you have deadlines and 3-4 orders back to back where you don’t get to be creative, is that something you want? Or do you enjoy making fun cookies?
It’s one thing to enjoy baking and make creative things. It’s another to actively be selling them and making profit.
