My son just turned 8 month old. So, of course, I have to make him a shrimp cocktail tower because his nickname is Shrimpy and I’m doing this for my first ramic exibition. And now it’s time to make the shrimp. It’s not that much work. I just need to shape the clay, smooth it out, shove it up, split the tails, and shape the tail. Adding some lines to the back and adding an indent where it will sit at the edge of the bowl. It took me 2 days to make the shrimp. I’m repeating it for what it feels like a 100 billion times. And this is what it looks like, but it feels kind of bare on top. So, I added this lettuce looking thing on top, but I’m not really sure. I love the look of it. And then I look over to my plant. Wait, this would be perfect on top of my shrimp cocktail. So, yes, I’m trying to recreate it with clay. So, no need for part four. I don’t even know how many parts I’m making for this shrimp cocktail tower. The top part is actually not as hard as what I thought it would be. It lowkey looks like the top of a pineapple, but I think it suits the piece so well. And now it’s time to put in the kiln. And please pray with me that it will survive the kiln. And let me know how I should glaze the balls.
