When I used to overwinter, I’d just strip the leaves, trim up the root ball and pot it into a smaller pot. Then when spring hit, pot into the final pot, feed, trim any “dead” bits and they’d bush in no time. So I’m in the less is more camp

I would personally start with red. You can always take more off, but you can’t put it back. And rather than trying to make it go dormant like everyone likes to suggest, put it in a sunny window and let it do its thing and maybe add a grow light.

Cut at the red, but remember to cut above a node on your Y so that you leave a new growth point. So slightly higher than those red lines. If you cut below the top nodes of the Y, the only growth point you’ll have will be coming from the bottom of the Y.
That also very much looks like 2 plants, though I could be wrong. Looks like 2 separate stems to me. Now would be the perfect time to split them up if they are.
