The type of life a man should live. Get into traffic, jump out the car, wrap the brisket while showin off to people.

Being in Texas, I often see burning smokers going down the road on Saturday mornings.

I recently bought a 500 gallon offset and lost it before I got home with it. Was tragic and hurt my soul.

Sorry. This video reminded me of that day

Just to be clear. That’s not me.

That said, a very similar situation might happen this coming Saturday. Which might be me. Thanks for sharing!!!

In July for my birthday the boiz showed up down in Mexico with an, I shit you not, rotisserie lamb hooked up on the back of a truck running off a car battery lol.

I’ve done worse when the temp drops and you need more air flow.

Guy I know has done that. Loaded his smoker up with pork butts, smoked overnight and took off down the road to Omaha.

Got pulled over going down the interstate because, well, his trailer was smoking.

He had a couple packages of buns on his back seat, told the trooper to call all of his buddies, and served pulled pork sandwiches to a half dozen state troopers on an interstate offramp.

When you’ve got meats to smoke and places to be

Pressed for time and the fire was taking too long so they took things into their own hands

Best brisket and sausage I’ve had in my life, was a ol’ boy tugging a smoker behind a best up Chevrolet i. The middle of the lawn of a Pilot truck stop in Houston. Guy said he’d been running the same operation for 14 years. I did pitmaster/chef work for a long time, so my.brain went wild with how he towed the thing and kept temps controlled for heat hold service. Hell yeah Texas.

Probably shouldn’t be legal, but it is! My neighbor runs a BBQ popup and he does exactly this.

I wish it was me. Mad respect to the bbq trucker!

Uncle Bob calls it fast food delivery.

Not sure that’s going to pass the emissions test…

Pretty common sight in my area, just south of Atlanta.

Nice. Someone has their priorities straight.

Been tempted, but might get burnt

  23. astroguyfornm

I see nothing weird, at least the wheels didn’t come off like with my smoker trailer. At least it now has a new custom axle.

Why sit at the house waiting on the brisket to finish when u can run ur errands with mobile smoker… Just make sure u’ve got a good lock for the door

  25. MikeOxHuge

Don’t want to be “that guy,” but I feel like this is irresponsible. Especially in south / central Texas where we are constantly in a drought

  26. robbietreehorn

This is very, very common in Texas. It’s why smokers on trailers exist.

  27. Tree_Planter-570

Not a texan. In fact I’m in the north east. I do this all the time. I wrap my product and close all vents. When stopping for ice or beer, you get a lot of attention.

  28. Aggravating-HoldUp87

Normal in CA as well, especially for catered events

  29. RF-Guye

Pacific NW native here. I have smoked meats at hunting camp, literally some brined buddy’s yardbirds first night.

Never have I thought to smoke on the way to Camp (Meats)…once in a while you can smoke all the things simultaneously, I dig it.
