Slimming world pea risotto review
Hi guys, I’m Leanne and this is my weight loss journey. Um, and I’m coming to you with another really fast, I hope, um, food review. So, what I’m trying to do is people keep asking me what I eat and what I snack on and things like that. I am not like a massive cooker or prepper or anything like that. You can actually hear the pan starting to sizzle. And I’m actually going to cook today, but it should only take me 12 minutes. So today I’m going to be reviewing the Slimming World free food pee and rsotto pea asparagus and rsotto. It is vegetarian, not vegan. Um, and this is what it looks like on the lid. Well, on the packet it comes frozen. I picked this up from Iceland. Um, I’ve got to go to work and I’ve left it really late because I’ve been doing loads of other stuff. So I thought, right, I’m going to put some of this in. This is what I’m going to have for my dinner. Um, because I’m working while about 7 or 8:00, it should only take me 12 minutes. Um, I’m going to cook it as it’s instructed. So, in this packet, you get 575 g. I won’t be having it all. I’m just going to portion this off and pop it back in freezer. Um, you pop it in a pan from frozen for 12 minutes with 5 tablespoons of water in a non-stick frying pan. Um, I cook on a medium heat and have it covered. Um, I will pop that just there if you want to have a look. Sorry, I’m like squinting. Um, on the allergy and nutrition. Obviously, you can screenshot that and have a look. If you’re calorie counting, that may help you. Um, it’s just a really, really quick and easy way. What I’m also going to do is put this just here. Hopefully, you can see that and you can screenshot it because that’s how to make it from scratch if you want to make it at home. Good thing about the Slimming World meals is they do come with the recipes on them. So, you don’t only have to buy them. You can create this at home yourself. So, I’m going to chuck this in the pan right now. I’m going to then come back when it’s all cooked and I’ll tell you what it’s like. I will put salt and pepper into this. I’m not going to highly season it. Um I just have pepper and salt with everything. Um I love pepper, black pepper, loads of pepper. Um and we’ll see how this weighs up and whether it’s worth buying. So, I haven’t measured this or anything, but this is it all just in the pan. I do think I put a little bit too much water in, but I’m pretty sure I can sort that out. I’ll just like boil it off once it’s cooked. Um, giving it a quick stir. And this is what it looks like when it first goes in. There does seem to be some flavoring in that water. Um, we’re It doesn’t smell very seasoned, I’m not going to lie. Um, try and break that up a bit so it cooks a bit faster cuz that’s as ever I’m in a bit of a rush. But 12 minutes is going on my stopwatch. I have actually remembered to turn the temperature down cuz generally I will put something on full whack and it ends up burning. So this time I’ve done what it says on the packet which is very much unlike me. So this is finally cooked. This is what it looks like and is my dinner before work. I’ve put some garlic granules in it, salt and pepper. So, it just didn’t look very seasoned. I think there’s a nice amount of veg in that, which sometimes the lacks, but obviously you can add your own stuff in there. Um, I think if I was to do it again, I’d probably put some corn chicken pieces in. But Lily’s here. She won’t come on the camera, but she’s going to try this with me. So, off you go. Let’s have a try. God, it’s just been cooked, so it might burn his mouth off. Just be careful cuz it’s warm cuz I’ve only got like 20 minutes before I start work. Is it all right heat? M. That is nice. Oh, I think I might have put too much pepper in. That is a bit a little bit too much pepper in, but I really like black pepper. Um, I have put garlic in, like I said, and salt. I haven’t put too much salt in, but actually that’s really nice. Would you eat that? Yeah, Lily is a really picky eater and I think that’s with some corn bits in as well. With some corn bits, I think that’d be a substantial meal and it’s took me 12 minutes from the freezer. So, sometimes the slimming well meals and I think they’re very good. But actually, this is really nice, isn’t it? I would actually recommend trying this. You can put chicken in if you’re a meat eater or whatever you want really. There’s plenty of veg in it, loads of speed. It’s a free food. You can have this free on Slimming World. You’ve got the calories and stuff on there. Um, yeah, strongly recommend. How many out of 10? I would say like a strong eight or nine. Yeah, I’d say eight. It’s actually really nice. Um, and it’s not too soggy or watery, which I thought it were going to be. Um, really good fast meal and I’d strongly recommend

Thanks for this! I have just discovered your channel , I’m also vegetarian and joined ( for 2nd time ) SW three weeks ago , I’ve got 6 or 7 stone to loose and you are huge inspiration! Thank you 🎉❤
That is a tasty SW meal….like you suggest I use it as a base, and add to it to bring more flavour and texture.
Hope your weekend was good and coming week is great…much love 🥰💜x
I deffo need to get my butt to Iceland and grab some sw goodies❤
That looks really nice, I make my own but would give this a go. At the end I put through some of the Seriously Spreadable Cheddar light (HeA) game changer x
I've had this one before at a taster – and it was ok, but just a bit bland. I think if I had it again I'd copy your idea and add other seasonings to it. I didn't mind a taste, but it was lacking a bit of something as it was to my palette.
