The long-vacant space under the Purple/Brown Line Wellington stop has opened as Dat Donut. Unbeknownst to me, Dat Donut has operated for 30 years on the Southside. This custard-filled donut was pretty good and cost $2.30. This is a no frills establishment with classic donuts and nice service. Here’s to hoping they break the curse on that location!
