BGE late to the game and charging a premium price for a basic item.

Looks like it was designed and produced in 1980 and is twice the price as Thermoworks RFX (if you catch them on sale). To each their own though… but it seems like you’re just paying for the name.
Although who knows, maybe it outperforms everyone else. For that kind of money I would certainly expect it to. I’ll wait until more people have reviewed it before I consider replacing my RFX or Meater+.

Why would you pay more for something worse than the Thermoworks RFX?

Save the time and money and get a ThermoWorks RFX. Industry leaders for a reason. Absolutely love mine.

Yikes…. $400? I know BGE tends to be a little higher price but that’s a huge leap from the competition. The Egg Genius is around $200-250 with wifi connection.
I can get a top rated wireless thermometer from Amazon for $100.

The package is $399. Is it too pricey?
