What if we put the balls of ground meat in a sub with all those ingredients?
We could call it a meatball sub

I wouldn’t eat it, but I understand it.
It’s a cheeseburger with mozzarella cheese and instead of ketchup – tomato sauce.

Man, I haven’t had a pizza burger in years, long overdue

I mean, I’d eat it, but I’d never choose to eat it.

Yeah, but why aren’t the buns actual slices of pizza?

Is the meat Italian sausage? Maybe a ciabatta roll?
If not, you may have missed an opportunity…

I have a recipe for a pizza burger deluxe. My dad opened a restaurant in the late 60’s and started serving it. The place is still open today and they serve the same sandwich. It’s in West Allis, Wi. I still make my dad’s sandwich several times a year for our company.
