Today we will make a traditional
Turkish soup, lentil soup. So let’s go. Hi girls, welcome to another my video. I
hope you’re doing great. And today we will make a special soup. For this we only need four
ingredients. one onion, one potato, one carrot, and a little bit of lentil. As you already
understood, we will be making lentil soup. Uh, which, by the way, my husband’s favorite
soup. It’s Turkish soup. So, girls, let’s start. First, we need to cut the vegetables
into a large pieces. There is no need to cut them finally because after they’re cooked,
we will chop everything in a blender. So, girls, first we need to fry the onion and
carrots until the golden brown. Of course, I’ll use my homemade olive oil. Okay, let’s
just put it a little bit. or not a little bit because carrots love oil so it shouldn’t be
dry. So that’s why if you put a little bit more oil it’s not a problem. Now turn the heat
on low and uh then we will add our vegetables and uh close the lid. While our vegetables
are turning gold, we’ll rinse the lintens. Uhoh. I need just a little. Not a little, but
a bit. A little more. More. More. And more. And okay. And wash it. Cold water. So normal dates
need to wash like a rice in a cold water. Wash. Wash. Take a bath. Okay. Take a bath before we
cook you. Okay. Okay. Just kidding. Okay. It’s It’s getting a little bit hard, but it’s okay.
It’s not a problem. Lentil is always working like this. So, we just need to wash it. What
you see girls it’s like a stuck but it’s not stuck just it’s reaction lentils and water it’s
normal don’t worry when we will boil it it’s getting soft and uh even a little like broke
texture so like pure so it’s okay no problem and just put it on the plate so the water
can go down now we need to cut our potatoes my my oven like work like

not me I always control it let’s check our vegetables this is fried very
slowly but it’s important They do not burn. So, I don’t want to turn the heat up like
slowly. But truly, I like this now. So, I don’t want to increase the heat. So,
girls, I want to use one more ingredient. This is storebought beef broth. You can
buy it in any store in Turkey. Of course, you can make soup without using a broth, but
with broth, the soup will have more flavor. So, you can just try it, girls. Maybe you like
it. So, I think it’s more flavorful. So, times goes by and the vegetables are
fried. So just take time and wait for this. Actually I want to add potatoes and
the broth already. So let’s do it. Now it’s cold. You just hold it now like
this. It’s getting warm and it’s go down. So, let’s see, girls. You see? So easy.
Quick and easy. So simple. Now the broth will melt and we will gradually add
water. Yes. Our soup. Water. Water for our future soup. Okay. You can melt. Okay.
Melt slowly. Slowly slowly melt. Okay. You hear? You hear girls? Sounds gone because
this is melting. Now in a couple of minutes, we can add water. When we add water, we
need it to boil. Then we reduce the heat and we need to bring the vegetables uh to an
almost cooked state almost. Only after that we can add the lentils. So girls, our broth
has melt and now we add water. So just water. Okay. And close the lid, of
course. And now turn our heat up. Okay. And wait. Now we need the water to boil.
Okay, girls. Our water has come to a boil. Now we need to reduce the heat and leave the
vegetables until they almost cooked like this. And uh just leave it like this. So we’re
waiting for you. We’re waiting for you. So girls, our vegetables are now almost cooked.
And at this stage where the lentils this after we’ve added the lentils, we now need to wait
for them to cook through. So this will take about 15 20 minutes, girls. By the way, girls, if you

are ready. So girls, we take a blender and gr all the ingredients until they become pure. And
girls, don’t forget to turn off the heat. Okay. So girls, don’t lift your blender to avoid

out the blender and continue making our soup. So all that’s left is to add salt and pepper
and to bring the soup to a boil. To do this, we need to turn the heat back down to
low. So first up, turn and then Oh, and then close it a little. Yes. And boil it.

my soup, but if your soup turns out too thick, then just add a little water until you get
