I love a footlong Italian sub from my local grocery store, but recently they just raised the price from $6.99 to $9.99 without any notice. There is no way their costs have increased commensurate to the product, so this is plainly just a cash grab.
Okay …
If they are going to raise my price, I'm going to raise their cost.
Now I don't need to buy black olives.

Desecrated a perfectly good hoagie.
This is the correct amount of black olives.
Um…guess you showed them?
those olives are upside down
My day is ruined if an olive touches my food

A while back, Costco used to have sliced onions for your hotdog in which you would turn a wheel and it would dispense as much onions as you wanted.
I watched an older woman come up with an extra produce plastic bag and help herself to about 3 lbs of sliced onions, and then she just left. It happened over 10 years ago and i still think about it sometimes. Just an absolute power move.
This belongs in shittyfoodhacks
Fight the power!
What makes you think the price isn’t commensurate with food costs?
😅
Shout out to my olive fam
Idgaf that’s gross 🤮
That’s about 1/20 of a #10 can that costs them about $8.
Theres a certain nuance people aren’t appreciating about this lol
Did I use that word right? Probably not. Does it matter? Nope, we’re talking about saving money with canned olives.
I didn’t get it till I read the comment, I kinda love this. Good for you : )
How does buying a can of olives raise their food cost?
