🌶 Turkish Ezme Recipe
Ingredients:
1 large sweet pepper
3 large tomatoes
4–5 garlic cloves
1 medium onion (chopped)
½ cup chopped cilantro
2 tbsp tomato paste
Salt to taste
1 tbsp sumac
2–3 tbsp lemon juice
2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions:
1. Roast & blend:
Place the sweet pepper, tomatoes, and garlic cloves on a baking tray. Roast for 10–15 minutes until slightly charred and softened. Transfer to a food processor and pulse until finely blended (not watery). Strain the mixture to remove excess liquid.
2. Mix:
Transfer to a bowl. Add the chopped onion, chopped cilantro, tomato paste, salt, sumac, and lemon juice. Mix well until combined.
3. Serve:
Drizzle with olive oil before serving. Enjoy with any kind of bread you like! 🫓✨
