Went to this Tonkatsu joint on West 17th Street called Konban expecting a solid Katsu plate and left questioning my life choices. They gave me just the katsu – no rice, no sides, nothing. Just a sad little portion sitting there like it lost its friends.
I legit thought the rice was coming separately. Nope. That was it. I had to go home and eat three slices of pizza just to feel human again.
Portion size is criminal. If you blink too fast, your meal disappears.
Konban, I love y’all but this felt like a social experiment. I'd rather stick with Go Go Curry. Won't be back!
