Had this producer for the 2nd time last night, after a friend kindly brought a bottle to a tasting at my home recently.
I’m no burgundy expert but this was outstanding; beautiful clear red fruit on the nose, medium acidity, balanced oak, some minerality and dried herbs. The tannins were absolutely silky smooth. Reminded me a bit of of Angerville’s Volnay Champans in that sense.
Superb.
On the right was Tondonia Rosé, which was on by the glass. Highly oxidative and a bit bonkers. I really liked it as well with both cheese after and oysters before.

Haha, you drank one of the most hyped Burgundy producers of the moment, without knowing it. Love it.
