AJPROL OP announces the 2026 edition of the Nutrievo Award, the national award celebrating the best of Italian olive oil production. This event is renewed with the aim of promoting a supply chain that represents the pride of Made in Italy agri-food. This edition once again confirms its position as a benchmark for olive growers, millers, and bottlers who believe in excellence.

Organized byAJPROL – Agricultural Cooperative Society of Olive Producers of PugliaThe award aims to promote and showcase high-quality extra virgin olive oil made exclusively from olives produced and processed in Italy. Nutrievo is not just a competition, the organizers explain, but a cultural project that aims to amplify and disseminate the nutritional benefits of this precious food, still little known to most consumers. This initiative aims to combine quality production and healthy eating, giving due recognition to the entire supply chain.

The 2026 edition introduces a renewed calendar that will accompany producers throughout the 2025/26 olive growing campaign. Registration will open on next 10 December, allowing participants to submit their applications until March 31 2026The award ceremony is scheduled for May 2026 at the headquarters of the Chamber of Commerce of Taranto and Brindisi.

The competition categories confirm the focus on Italian production diversity: conventional extra virgin olive oil (in the intense, medium, and light fruity subcategories), organic olive oil, and DOP and IGP oils. Each category awards prizes to the top three finishers, with the exception of designations of origin, which will award the top two.

The quality of the evaluation is guaranteed by the scientific committee and the AJPROL tasting panel. Under the guidance of the panel leader, the five-member technical control committee will ensure rigorous and transparent evaluation standards.

The experience gained in previous editions confirms the credibility of the award: Among last season’s winners, some stand out names who have been able to combine tradition and innovation.

“The interested producers – reads a note – Participants must submit three to six samples for each category (minimum 500 ml each; the first three are mandatory, the others are optional and will be used in tasting courses and promotional events) to Mail Boxes ETC. MBE 0485, Corso Umberto 110/D, Taranto, clearly specifying “AJPROL CONCORSO NUTRIEVO” on the package label.

The participation fee remains unchanged: €50 (including VAT) for the first sample and €10 for each subsequent sample. Payments must be made via bank transfer, specifying the participant category.

The success of the 2025 edition has demonstrated how Nutrievo represents much more than an award: it is a A collective narrative, the story of a hard-working Italy that preserves its roots and innovates without forgetting authenticity. Each participating company becomes a messenger of territories, family histories, sustainable practices, and visions for the future: a network of protagonists who believe in the value of agricultural work, sustainability, and quality as distinctive elements of the national olive oil panorama.

Italian extra virgin olive oil, with its unique characteristics and extraordinary benefits, is therefore preparing to once again be the protagonist of an event that aims to make the best of our land known to the world.
