Df83v v2 here, it’s such a great grinder,no retention and can grind 18g in less than 4 seconds and it’s super quite, you can’t even tell if the grinder is on without beans in it. I also got the fiorenzato all ground sense for on demand grind by weight and df83v for single dose and ceado life x for time based grinding
Solid move. I’d also get one or two more tampers to be sure if I were you !

I got that one! Best I’ve had so far.
Those big burrs running at the speed you select is pure coffee powder heaven.
I found out that instead of dumping all the beans in while the 83 was at speed, I could use the billows cap to regulate the flow by tilting it at the opening of the hooper and pouring the beans against the side of the cap.
Feel this gave me more particle uniformity but was just a hand examination, nothing scientific.

Nice! You’ll love it.
All the reviews I’ve seen so far or people claiming stalling have mostly been unfounded claims in my experience. The only time I’ve gotten it to stall is when running at like 300rpm and pouring all 18g in at once.
I typically run at 600-800 and while I don’t slow feed, I do slowly pour the beans in over maybe 2 seconds.
So far, no need to RDT, there’s a bit of static dust in the cup, but not enough to worry about. I just tap at an angle on my mat to settle them to the bottom and pour in the porta.
Do make sure to clean the plasma generator every couple weeks though to keep that mostly static free use.

Looks like the gauge on your espresso machine might be stuck, too
