All M&S except the beans (Branston).
All cooked/finished using a single large pan.
Sausage, bacon, haggis. Fried in the pan with a little butter and light pinch of dried sage. Then in went last night's leftover boiled and buttered baby potatoes to get a bit of colour with the eggs. Beans to finish and get the last of the remaining butter/fats.
Beans were leftover from yesterday's (much lighter) breakfast. Chopped leftover smoked brisket (smoked by me) fried off, then add the beans with a tsp of tomato puree and splash of water. Light simmer for 10 mins until jammy. Finish with a little butter for gloss.
Beans were the highlight. The brisket flavour shone through. Can't beat M&S meats unless you go to your local butcher. Potatoes were a fortunate find in the fridge and better than the usual triangular hash browns.
Toast was wank. M&S wholemeal has little to no flavour and was merely a vessel for scooping beans into my face. Slightly undercooked the egg whites too.
Washed down with M&S tropical juice (not concentrate).
9.5/10 for me. Definitely a standout in my near-25 years of making these. Time for a lie down.
