Baked ziti with homemade meat sauce and beamel isn’t hard to make and should probably be on everybody’s fall recipe list. Here’s how I make mine. Boil some water that’s been seasoned with salt. Add in the pasta and cook till a minute before al dente. In a pan, add some oil. It’s a shallot. After a minute, add the minced garlic and the meat. Break apart and cook all the way through. I like to use crushed tomatoes with basil and salt from tutoroso. Add in the remaining spices in the recipe. Stir and let simmer while we cook the next part. For the bashamel, in the same pot that you boiled the pasta, add in the butter and flour. Give that a good mix until well incorporated. Then we’re going to slowly pour in the milk, stirring continuously. Add in the salt, nutmeg, and stir in the cooked pasta.
