Halloween BYOF night with friends; the Patagonia and Ekone mussels were the runaway hits, but not a single tin was left uneaten.

Love this spread! One tiny bit of advice from someone who has plated hundreds of similar offerings: next time, slice those cheese blocks ahead of time and display them either reassembled into their original block form or fanned out on the board. The reason for this is that there’s always going to be at least one person at any given party who doesn’t feel comfortable in their slicing skills, or one who is over confident and slices the block in an odd way that confuses others. If it’s pre-sliced, it’s also waaay easier to grab what you want real quick and get out of the way so the next person can grab some too.

Don’t worry about making slices that match your crackers unless it’s easy for you based on the size of your crackers or cheese. Just make the easiest slice for your spread. If a slice is too long, it’s simple enough to bend and snap it to fit your preference on a personal portion plate, so one can easily self regulate without holding up the line
