Just came back from a weekend in Boston and tried New Zealand real fruit ice cream at Far Out Ice Cream and now I'm obsessed. I've been trying to find a place here in NYC that does something similar. They have these machines that blend ice cream with real fruit and extrude it as soft serve. There was a NYT article about it a few years ago, but no places in the city are mentioned. The only place I can think of that is similar is Goodiez in Brooklyn but they blend ice cream with breakfast cereal and I'm going for more of the real fruit thing.
