It can be wagyu without having crazy marbling.
They have a scoring system for a reason.

American waygu only needs 51% genetic of waygu to be called waygu.

Wagyu just means Japanese cattle breed, it has absolutely nothing to do with the marbling. You could have a Wagyu A1- BMS1 steak
Damn near $30 a pound for beef…..it’s probably cheaper to just raise a cow yourself

Not all Wagyu is well marbled.
Most of what’s raised here in Texas is amazingly well marbled. I made fajitas from this a couple nights ago.
