    As a celiac this pisses me off. Why the fuck would you use gluten like that? It’s a literal waste of good flour. It’s a waste of good gluten 😩

    My favorite part of a thin-crust pizza is where the crust bubbles up and gets flaky, so this could be really good.

  4. The thing is, I love the browned edges of the cheese. This just looks steam cooked. The browned or slightly burned cheese is the best part. You get none of that with this.

    Just a different cooking method.

    Idk what the air pocket does for the pizza, but there is probably *a* reason to do it.

    Or perhaps it’s just presentation, I dunno.

    If it’s like <$25 I feel its fine.

  16. This is the least stupid food I’ve ever seen on this site. It legit looks pretty good, and Japanese portions are generally smaller than western, another factor I don’t hate.

  17. Y’know, I was just having a pizza the other night and thinking, “Yeah, this is pretty good, but the cheese and other toppings are too BROWNED, and CRISPY, and FLAVORFUL. Cursed Maillard reactions! If only there was a way to have steamed pizza instead!”

    So… instead of getting the browned top on the cheese and other toppings, you get steamed pizza toppings covered by a crumbled, ultra-thin crust that someone poured oil on?

    This looks like a worse and more complicated version of a calzone actually. So not even a pizza.

  22. Know what, ill give them credit for using a pump to inflate the dough, last time I saw one of these posted the chef blew into a straw to inflate it.
