Definitely the best of its style. I typically don’t like vinegar forward (I know it’s technically pepper forward) sauces but this converted me.

I don’t know if it’s the best, but it’s always in my fridge

It’s a great casual hot sauce. I love the salty vinegar taste with a very mild kick. It’s great on eggs, cold pizza and hash browns. The same goes for Tabasco, super versatile.

you’ve apparently have very limited exposure to hot sauce, my guess is from the shelf of your grocery store. it hasn’t been in the top 10 since the ’80s.

I am a huge tobasco brand fan but after seeing these comments about crystal I really want to do a side by side with a few spoonfulls. Has anyone done that?
Ddvmeteorist128
Best? Not by a long shot
cosmic_flux
I enjoy Crystal but I think I may like Louisiana slightly more because the pepper to vinegar ratio is slightly higher and less acidic
DeusUrsus
Ok friend, have fun on that hill 😅

This is amazing on collard greens
Swimming-Employer97

violet_ablueberry

My dad doesn’t usually like anything spicy, but this was the House Sauce when I was a kid.

I love Louisiana Crystal in so many in dishes to add the slightest heat that doesn’t overwhelm my guest. But as a hot sauce that has heat it basically doesn’t. Yet as far as a present in adding some cayenne without over powering the dish but balance it out is why I love it.
CheeseEnchilada420
A must for red beans and rice etc
AshByFeel
I love it on seafood and fried foods.
I always hated hot sauces, because, like Tabasco, they are so vinegar based. This was the first hot sauce that I like. I wish I could find a non vinegar hot sauce. I always end up making my own spicy salsas or adding habenero or Chipotle peppers to my dishes.

Great on Doritos.

The extra hot Texas pete I think is the best vinegar style hot sauce. The best overall is El yucateco tho, it’s tasty, spicy, and cheap!
Killmegoddess561
It’s the best for me on fried chicken and plain fried chicken wings.
I like to rinse my mouth out with this every couple of nights. Works wonders.

Louisiana hot sauce is exponentially better

Nothing is better on a slice of pizza. Especially a NY style slice. 🍕

My favorite hot sauce to sip on, my wife didn’t know it basically pours out when she went to try it one day…
tstorm004
Not the best, but arguably the most versatile

Hell yeah, the absolute goat. Then green tobasco in second.

I make a chicken pot pie soup & this is my go to hot sauce for this soup!
Bcatfan08
I don’t know if it’s the best, but it’s damn good. Best hot sauce for fried chicken or chicken in general.
CycloneCabbage
Easily the most balanced daily use hot sauce. I use it for most things and have specific hot sauce for specific food types… Thai for example needs a special kick and flavor

Too much vinegar for my taste.
I like to rinse my mouth out with this every couple of nights. Works wonders.
