This week on Bold Street there will be a new venue for dining. The bright flavors that come with the Mediterranean and the Middle East will now be a part of the city on November 7 with the opening of House of Caesar. Along with the bar implementation we expect House of Caesar to expand the dining that Liverpool possesses. The locals and tourists alike will find meaningful use with this venue.
A £600,000 Transformation
The venue, located at 103 Bold Street, occupies the former Maracana Sport Bar. Over £600,000 has been invested into transforming this historic site, which was once a bank, into a stylish and inviting dining space. The renovation has maintained the building’s grandeur, with high ceilings and a spacious interior. Statement neon lighting illuminates the venue, complementing the dark-painted walls and offering a modern yet warm atmosphere.
The design features a mix of modern and traditional elements, creating a welcoming vibe that reflects the Mediterranean and Middle Eastern influences of the menu. The interior also includes artwork from local Liverpool artist Calum Medfoth, who has created contemporary takes on ancient Roman art, enhancing the venue’s unique character.
A Rich Culinary Experience
House of Caesar focuses on a menu inspired by Arabic, Turkish, Syrian, and Mediterranean cuisines. Guests can expect a variety of classic dishes, from marinated meats like chicken, lamb, and fish, to an array of rice dishes, fresh salads, and traditional freshly-baked breads. The menu includes some of the most-loved Middle Eastern dishes, including falafel, fattoush, shawarma, kofta kebabs, and plant-based options like hummus.
This new addition to Bold Street is designed to cater to diverse tastes. Whether you’re stopping in for a quick drink after work or looking to enjoy a full meal with friends, House of Caesar has something for everyone. The combination of flavorful food and an inviting atmosphere makes it an ideal spot for any occasion.
A Taste of Tradition with a Modern Twist
The new bar and grill doesn’t just promise great food—it also offers a unique dining experience. The interior design, featuring embroidered fabrics, cushions, and a golden wooden parquet floor, creates a luxurious yet comfortable ambiance. These touches aim to transport guests to the Mediterranean and Middle East while still feeling like a part of Liverpool’s thriving food scene.
The venue’s design also incorporates elements from the building’s history, with a carefully restored ceiling architrave and a new mezzanine floor. This blend of historical and modern touches ensures that House of Caesar stands out as a high-end yet accessible destination in the heart of Bold Street.
A Collaborative Effort for Success
The vision behind House of Caesar is a collaboration between Daniel Ball, a partner from DBD, a commercial design and build company, and Mohammed Abbar, the restaurant’s founder. The two have been friends for years, and opening a venue together has been a long-held ambition.
Daniel Ball brings extensive experience to the project, having worked on notable venues such as Nando’s, Starbucks, Alma De Cuba, and the Dixie Dean Hotel. His expertise, combined with Abbar’s passion for food, has resulted in a venue that offers both culinary excellence and an unforgettable atmosphere.
An Exciting Addition to Bold Street
House of Caesar is poised to become a popular addition to Liverpool’s diverse dining scene, offering a different taste of Middle Eastern and Mediterranean food. Bold Street, known for its range of cuisines, has always been a hub for food lovers, and House of Caesar adds a fresh flavor to the mix.
