I'm pretty sure the answer is probably no, but I just want the reassurance before buying a new one. Was washing it out and it slipped out of my hands. Hit the corner of the sink and chipped off the edge. 😭
I use my crockpot alot. My guess is that the structural integrity of the ceramic will be compromised by any moisturizer getting inside now?
Sigh 😭

It looks like just the handle and not the inside where the lid rests… I’d use it.
I feel like you could use it but I would be scared of little pieces chipping/dusting off into my food… that’s just me tho
Yes
It’s fine. I 100% would keep using it.
I’m not an expert, but since there is still a good seal where the lid is at and the moisture doesn’t touch that spot, I would totally keep that.
I might be wrong but test it out for a 10 hour slow cook with some pinto beans and see how it fares.
It’s safe to use. Put 2-3 coats of clear nail polish on it to seal.
Hell yes
Mine has that same chip, I use it.
I would use it.
Soaking as you dont cut yourself on it, its cosmetic.
Why wouldn’t it be ?
For cooking? Yes. For rubbing your hand against that part? No.
Use it while you wait for a replacement
Yes it’s fine.
If you really want to though, you can paint it with a food-safe ceramic paint. Dishwasher and oven safe. This will seal it so it doesn’t absorb anything.

U guessed correctly, it’s time to retire that one! Better safe than sorry when it comes to cracks
I’d look around at some thrift stores… I’ve see just the crocks several times. Take a tape measure with you and the basic measurements of your crock.
Mine is the exact same way and I’ve still been using it for like a year. It’s been perfectly fine.
I would use it.
Alright you’ve all convinced me to keep it lol 😅🤣 I was more concerned with any water that got in contact with it when washing it, but it doesnt seem like that should be an issue? 🤞 thanks everyone!
Send it. I use both of mine every day and the crocks are crazing inside. I just use a silicone liner. Going on 5 years now and im fine.
You could use that for sure.
One thing you could do, is sand the sharp edges of the cracked handle, and seal it with some sort of enamel paint. 🤷🏻♂️
