Vegetarian “chicken” pot pie. Also, why did my egg wash make the perfect face with the steam holes I made in the crust?

I didn’t use a recipe that I can link so I’ll just tell you about it:
    Alpha “chik’n” strips
Bag of frozen veggies plus some carrots, turnips and potatoes I needed to cook before they went bad
Pie crust: kerrygold salted butter 6 table spoons cubed small and flour 6 table spoons blended until “sandy” consistency (I use my hands) and enough ice water to make the dough. Chilled it over night. Next day rolled it out and put it in my dish and chilled it again.
Gravy: kerrygold salted butter 4 table spoons, melted then added 4 table spoons of flour one at a time and whisked in. Then I used better than bouillon chicken free stock 3 table spoons mixed with 3 cups water. I added some parsley, salt and pepper and powdered garlic and onion. Then when it was gravy I added the veggies and the “chicken” I cooked in a skillet and added. Assembled the pie and added an egg wash of egg and milk and cooked it at 425 for 60 min. First 45 min was covered in foil.

This looks delicious even though it’s looking at me, lol.. The crust looks perfectly flaky!

It looks delicious, aside from the fact that it’s looking back at me. 😆

It’s like the pie is Hannibal Lecter and it’s wearing the face of another pie.

    Looks delicious though
