Got my vertuo pop maybe 2 months ago, and it’s making so much foam that a standard size mug is overflowing.

I’ve had maybe 50-60 capsules with rinses every week.

What’s wrong with my machine and are there any fixes for it?

50-60 pods per week all for you? I know, not the point of the post but I couldn’t help myself.

Is this the same coffee? I have a next and some brews have a solid inch or more of crema and others barely have any.

This is what the Vertuo gives out. OL is better in this respect

Nothing wrong here. Some of my mugs fill like that to the top. Others less so. Depends on the real volume of the container and perhaps the width of the container. There really isn’t a “standard” mug size. You can always stir or fold the foam into the coffee. I enjoy the experience.

Others are saying there is nothing wrong here but I have a Plus and I use a similar sized mug like in the first pic, and I don’t get that much foam. Have you tried doing a factory reset on it?

I have the Vertuo Pop, Vertuo Plus and the Essenza mini (original line) and my Pop just creates so much foam. Every time I use it my espresso cup almost overflows.

Different pods produce different amounts of foam, ( notice I didn’t mention Crema for the purists), I believe the spin speed is different depending on the pod.

I have the exact same machine and mine does this with the coffee cup pods as well. I think it just creates a lot of foam.

I have a next and a pop+. My pop is SO much foam, my next gives a moderate amount.

I ran the same capsule through both in a clear mug and the difference is stark. I have a picture somewhere.

Your machine isn’t doing anything “wrong”, it just seems to be how the pop+ works, unfortunately.

I think it depends on the type of pod. Some I get too much foam others a good amount

I have two of the vertuo pop machines. One makes a normal amount of foam, and the other makes a fuck ton, I always have to spoon it all out because it doesn’t settle

Ive switched cups and what was filling my cup before with a Tassimo isn’t hardly filling my same cup. I have the next and at times, yes it can. So same machine, different cups, different pods, different “foaming” issue. Have you tried stirring it or “folding in” the foam as they instruct, but before it fills up?
Also, my foam will go down after some time on its own. I use glass cups so im able to see at times different foam quantities. Can be water, humidity, elevation, etc. that produces more for you.
Its hard to see in that cup how much is foam vs liquid. Get a larger coffee cup and enjoy it.
EDIT: I see the 2nd picture with the clear glass. Sorry.

I think most vertuo do this lol i have a plus and produces a lot of foam. Sometimes i have to poke a hole through the foam when im adding the froster creamer. If i dont then the creamer just stays on the top lol

Yeah the Next and Pop just do that unfortunately.

I recently got a Plus after my Next packed up again (they also do that) and the difference in volume because of a regular amount of foam is crazy
