According to new research, over half of Americans have a Thanksgiving recipe that’s been passed down from generation to generation within their family. The survey of 5,000 Americans, evenly split across all 50 states, found that 55% have a treasured family recipe that’s been shared through the years. Almost three in five (58%) African American households and 56% of Hispanic households keep these recipes alive during Thanksgiving. More than half (52%) of those polled even revealed that recipe is over 25 years old. Commissioned by Jennie-O and conducted by Talker Research, the survey explored some of these recipes and diverse cultural backgrounds to understand what makes Thanksgiving tables across the country unique.
