Hello everybody and welcome back to my channel. The recipe I will show you today is an old-fashioned Greek treat. Chocolate salami with sweetened condensed milk. Rich velvety chocolate combined with crunchy walnuts and biscuits for a no bake dessert that will satisfy every sweet tooth. [Music] Chocolate salami. the best dessert ever because it’s easy. Everybody loves it and actually in five minutes hands on it will be inside the fridge or the freezer. Okay, so I need a pot. I need to make a very rich chocolate flavor salami. That’s why I will add my butter into the pot. My condensed milk because the condensed milk will actually give us the flavor of white chocolate and this is exactly what we want. Now the milk is in along with the butter, the cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and a good pinch of salt. Now mixy mix everything until the butter completely melts. And when it melts and the mixture is quite hot, we will add the dark chocolate in. And then mix everything together and into the freezer. So my mixer is almost ready. Put your finger in. It should be hot, but do not overcook it because probably you will burn the condensed milk. Now, we don’t want to boil, but it is quite hot. So, I will turn off the heat and I will add my chocolate in. We want to cool down the mixer. That’s why we adding the chocolate at the very last moment. And when you add the chocolate, you will see this lovely transformation. Before the mixer was quite beige and now it’s more chocolateaty. You can see that more thick and actually it is perfect. Now this back and I need my spatula. But before that I need my biscuits here to just break them in half. Don’t m them a lot. We need big pieces. Okay. And I will sprinkle with some brandy. brandy, cognac, whiskey, whatever you want. We want the alcohol to be absorbed by the biscuits. And then we will carry on with the other ingredients. Come on, get in. Now, I have some walnuts. Of course, if you don’t want to use walnuts, you can use any nuts you like. And it’s time for Mr. Chocolate Mixer to get in. So, lovely, huh? This is the salt that we love when we combining everything together. And now should I stir everything with a spatula or with gloves? Lucky. I will try to do the whole process with the spatula. You have to resist. Don’t try. I will not try like this because I want to try the final result. Okay. Yes. And I didn’t try. Okay. This was the hard part of the recipe. Now put all the mixer onto the parchment. Spread it. And now the same. It’s up to you. You can make it thin and long. You can make it thick and short. Taste of everybody changing. So make it as you want. Just roll it out a little bit. And at this point, don’t worry about the parchment because the parchment will not give the shape to the salami. The chocolate salami. The shape will be given by the plastic wrap. Okay. Like this. Yes. So, and now put in the middle the chocolate salami. This way. And this way. And now you can give the perfect shape. Okay? Because actually it’s very helpful. uh the plastic wrap. Okay. Like this. Roll it. And if you want to eat it as a cold dessert, put it into the fridge. If you want to eat it as an ice cream, put it into the freezer. What do you want? I don’t know. What do you want? I will put it into the fridge because I already prepared one into the freezer. So, I want to have both options. This one is ready. And as you can see, it is perfect. Everything is under control. And this is the longest chopping board ever because we have to fit this alarm here. No, I want a good knife. And this is for lis. Lis take it. [Music] And we have to carry on now. It is perfect. Look at that. Unbelievable. Amazing. Nobody can resist because it’s something easy. You can consume it straight from the freezer or the fridge, whatever you want. And look at that. Absolutely amazing. And with this salami, you can feed at least 20 to 30 people. It’s a dessert that everybody loves and it is easy to prepare. Now, if you want to add some cocoa powder, you can. If you want to add some icing sugar, you can do whatever you want. Is there a version that wouldn't melt outside of the fridge? are the biscuit getting soggy in a couple of days?
I love this recipe so much better than the previous ones I tried from other websites simply because it doesn’t call for eggs to be used and since this is a no bake dessert I have always being apprehensive about that; most recipes for salami do ciocollato will have eggs as an ingredient.
