Ingredients 1 cup water (200ml) 1 teacup milk (100ml) 1/2 cup vegetable oil 2 eggs 1 teaspoon baking powder 2 tablespoons vinegar (apple cider or grape vinegar doesn't matter) 4.5-5 cups flour (the cup I use is 200ml) For rolling out the dough Wheat or corn starch For the filling 250g walnuts For the topping 125g butter 1 teacup vegetable oil (100ml) For the syrup 4 cups water (200ml cup) 4 cups sugar (200ml cup) 1 lemon wedge

    Mix all the ingredients for the dough and obtain a very soft dough that does not stick to the hand. Divide the dough into 16 pieces and make them into balls. Roll out the balls with starch until they are the size of a cake plate. Place them on a suitable baking tray. Cover and let them rest for at least an hour. This will make it easier to roll out. Roll out 8 of the rested dough one by one and set aside. After rolling out the phyllo dough, spread another phyllo sheet on it and sprinkle with walnuts. Lay two more phyllo sheets on top and sprinkle with walnuts. Stack 8 phyllo sheets on top of each other in this way. Cut a little from both edges and the top, place the pieces on top, sprinkle with walnuts, roll them up with a thin rolling pin without squeezing, make sure it is not tight. Remove the rolling pin and cut it into thin vertical strips and arrange them on the baking tray so that they are not tight. Prepare the other 8 doughs in the same way. After removing the foam of the melted butter and the residue from the bottom, mix it with 1 tea glass of oil and drizzle it over the dessert. Bake in a preheated oven at 170 degrees. Let it cook for 45-50 minutes, then pour the cold syrup over the hot dessert.

    For the syrup, put water, sugar and lemon zest in a suitable pot and mix. Let it boil over medium heat. Once it starts to boil, boil for 15 minutes, remove from the stove and let it cool. That's it.
