My two ají amarillo plants are starting to look sad, they're drooping a little more, and the leaves are turning a brownish yellow. Any advice? I'm in zone 10 (Southern California), and the weather is cooling down a bit. Plants are watered about once a week, though the soil in this part of the community garden is hardpan a couple of feet under and drainage is not good. However, the plants have been looking super healthy until now.

Looks like they are getting ready for fall. They will yellow and drop their leaves for winter.
It probably frosted or got close. It doesn’t take much temp drop for a pepper plant to start shutting down for the year
