Apparently I still haven’t learned my lesson because I couldn’t resist trying these new flavors of Nightingale Ice cream sandwiches when I saw them at a small local market. I’ve made posts before in this sub about what they get right and wrong in my opinion. I’ve seen others say the same about the texture of their ice cream being so gummy, weird, and a far cry from how the original version was before they expanded so far out of Richmond Virginia. These flavors looked interesting to me and I was again, hoping that I’d get lucky and pick up one that had a new recipe. I’ve noticed the Cookie Monster flavor is one of the best because it doesn’t seem to have as much of the gummy texture as the others. Maybe it has less fillers idk.

Most of the issue is obviously the poor ingredients used to preserve the ice cream but I also think the flavors aren’t executed well. ā€œWhite chocolate chip blondie cookie with peppermint white chocolate coffee ice creamā€ is just…a lot for it to fall so flat. I think they should go back to their roots and focus on bringing the quality back to their brand even if it means scaling down to one or two basic flavors that hold up well in shipping and are actually a treat to eat. Please stop with the insane gums, it’s nasty. And these are too expensive to be so bad.
