  1. Nice, I’ve never been able to find a decent looking cut at aldi before but that looks super solid

  2. they look pretty good, to thin for my taste though

That’s the best steak seasoning I’ve ever had. Need to add a touch of salt with it, but otherwise unreal

My local aldi hasn’t filled the meat section since it opened.

    I’m jealous.

What do you think of the steak rub? I find them way to salty

I have never seen a ribeye that good looking at my aldi I normally steer clear of the steaks

I eat Aldi ribeyes every week. I’m guessing from the comments that they vary by location, but the ones I get are really good.

  8. Aldi has been my go to for ribeyes for a long while now.

Great marbling, good rendering, and you got a nice sear.

My only critique, and this is 100% personal preference, is that I like it more on the rare side and I prefer my own “House Blend” seasonings over using Kinder or any other pre-blended mix – especially the heinous “Montreal Steak” versions. I don’t know how that became a thing but you won’t find that generic black pepper heavy concoction on the beef in pretty much any Montreal Steak House. Lol, but not lol. So, well done.

…also, genuinely, your rendering is first rate, at least 70ish% of the posts in this “How did I do thread” get tanked for un-rendered fat or a failure to achieve a sear that produces at least a minimally satisfying crust. You managed to nail both.

  10. How in the fuck does your Aldi ribeye look like that. Mine has never. God damn.
