My sister has been on my case for weeks now asking me to show more slow cooker recipes because she works second shift. Yes, honey. Listen, slow cooker meals are honestly just super convenient. All right, so welcome to my new series. Let’s get into it. Now, there’s not much work here, but there’s a little bit. We got to cut our potatoes. I’ve got 2 lbs of mini yellow potatoes. I’m just going to cut them in half. Potatoes going in the slow cooker. Couple tablespoons of olive oil. The potatoes are going to be cooking on the bottom, so we’re going to go ahead and season those up right now. Now, I’ve got some black pepper, paprika, and this is all according to your preference, your taste. Yes, yes, baby. I love you. Some seasoning salt, or you could just use regular salt, and some garlic. And you’re going to want to go ahead and give that all a nice toss. Make sure the potatoes are coated in the oil and the seasonings. Now, before we get our chicken in there, we’re going to go ahead and make a little sauce. About 2 Tbsp of olive oil, 2 Tbsp of soy sauce, just a little bit. 1/4 cup of honey. Three cloves of garlic into the sauce because this is honey garlic chicken, but you could use two, you could use one. I like a lot of garlic. And like I said, it’s a honey garlic chicken. So, three cloves of garlic. Got about a pound and a half of chicken thighs that I added in. And I left the fat on there because it’s going to drip down and it’s just it’s going to be so good. Just trust me. Just don’t trim it off. Leave it. Adding some pepper and paprika. Little bit of the seasoning salt. And then our thick honey garlic mixture. That is it. I’m going to go ahead and add this into the slow cooker and I will show you guys what it looks like. This has been cooking on high for 3 hours and 15 minutes. The chicken just falls apart. It is so tender. I cooked this on high, but you could also cook this on low for between 6 to 8 hours. I just made some green beans and added them onto my plate, but you could also add the green beans into the crock pot about an hour before it’s done. I just find that green beans get a little bit mushy when you put them in the crock pot. So, I make them separate. Minimal ingredients, minimal effort, and it’s really good.

  1. I don’t know if it’s my ADHD or if it’s my childhood, but I can see Mickey Mouse Clubhouse on the screen from the TV

  2. Good morning, I cooked this recipe yesterday and my family loved it.

  3. The fact that your sister watches your stuff and wants specific things is so cool. I’m really enjoying your channel, Karissa.

  4. I made this today… Measured everything from the heart and since I wasn't able to start early enough I opted for 1.5 hours at 180 Celcius in covered casserole dish in the oven… still turned out juicy, nearly falling off the bone and the potatoes cooked in the sauce/juices were phenomenal. This is by far going to be my new go to recipe for a quick dinner. It was delicious, 5/5

  6. One comment-it seems as if your microphone is too far from you. It’s hard to hear you plus there’s an echo.
Love your recipes though they’re not always useful for a single person like me.

  7. Not fond of slow cooker potatoes, I cook separately, the chicken looks yummy. Crock pot is a life saver 🛟

  8. Just got done following the recipe! I'll let you know how it comes out after work. I used breasts instead of thighs so we'll see how it turns out. I'm going to put it on low and hope it works well. 🙏🏻 looks so yummy!
