We can’t all have a Michelin star chef in the kitchen, but you can ask Angela for help. Send your dilemmas to dish@waitrose.co.uk and she’ll try to answer in a future episode.

We are going to do a really nice peach, palmer ham, and mozzarella salad. So, first you’re going to chop the shellot. Nice and thin. Nice and thin. You’re going to make the dressing. I’m going to make the dressing. So, we got we got a little bit of cherry vinegar because that will slightly pickle the shellot when you put it in. You see? Then we’ve got a little bit of olive oil and salt and pepper. Put that straight in there now. Yeah. And I’m also going to add a little bit of honey. I love a peach. Do you love a peach? Banging season now. Question. Yes. The lady in the audience having stone fruit. Would you have used Nick’s technique though? Would I have used Nick’s technique? It’s hard because you’ve got to make sure you go right down the center. And then you do that. And so you’ve got a big piece like that. But it is hard because then taking the stone. That’s a snidey question from lady in the audience. Did you write that question for me? No, I did not. So, we’ll arrange our palmer ham on here. Then, you’re going to toss all the peaches into that vinegarette. Then, take your mozzarella, tear it however you want to do that, and then place that on the plate. There we go. Yes. So, what we’re going to do is put this on there. So, give that a really nice mix. Let’s put all these beautiful peaches on there. Then, put your rocket all on top. And that is looking delicious.

  1. why do brits get lazy and not pronounce the G at the end of a word. DRESSING NOT DRESSIN. ARGHHHHHH

  2. Everything sounds so lovely, except the parmesan cheese. But that's just my own taste buds. I'd swap out the cheese for another type of cheese. But what a gorgeous summer dish😊

  3. I'll be real upset when they stop doing DIsh together, loved all the guests and chatting and eating so far. Truly a half hour of joy

  4. If I remember correctly, Natalie Portman would NOT be a fan of this salad haha. Simply because there is fruit in salad and its not a fruit salad lol

  5. I cut stone fruit the way Angela does, but I also go on to quartering them. The stone is easier to remove from a quarter than a half.

  6. There are free stone and cling stone varieties of peaches. Free stone you can just take the pit out the way Angela did. Cling stone you can't, it's more like a mango, and Nick's method works well. I usually cut one like Angela to check, as they almost never say in the store, and if cling stone, cut like Nick.
I highly recommend peaches in a grilled ham and cheese sandwich, in place of tomato. Sooo good. Similar vibe to the salad, and perfectly good with canned or jarred peaches in the off season.

  7. Any idess for a vegan substitute for the ham? What else might work? Smokey tempeh strips? I have seen fake pancetta that waa plant based… rarely, & pricey, but it exists.
