I’m convinced it changes the taste of the sandwich.

This is my first time cutting it down the middle, I definitely prefer cutting it diagonally.

  1. It depends. On a sandwich as shown i will cut diagonally to maximize the cross section with the most variation of toppings. With a pbj i will cut horizontally because its a more homogeneous distribution of toppings so it doesnt matter

What if the bread substrate is round like a roll. Bulkie rolls, potato bread rolls all make great sandwiches. The cut will be moot, no?

If i am packing it it’ll depending on the container its going into. Diagonal its a little bit more long and skinny. Square if you arent trying to fit it as much.

Plus depends on the bread too. Some wide or long loafs its just be odd to cut it certain ways.

A sandwich cut diagonally is easier to plate and eat.

Depends….most sandwiches diagonal. Egg salad or chicken salad, gotta be down the middle.

I’m the weirdo that does all above depending on my mood with each sandwich. Down the middle, diagonally, on the bias, leaving whole.

If it ain’t diagonal you’re some sort of demented

I order the club sandwich all the time and I’m not even a member, man.
I don’t know how I get away with it!
I like my sandwiches with 3 pieces of bread, so do I.
Well, let’s form a club then.
OK, but we need some more stipulations. Yes, we do.
Instead of cutting the sandwich once, let’s cut it again.
Yes, four triangles. We will position them into a circle
And in the middle, we will dump chips, or potato salad.
OK, let me ask you a question.
How do you feel about frilly toothpicks? I’m for ’em!
Well, this club is formed, spread the word on menus nationwide.
I’ll have my sandwich with alfalfa sprouts.
Well you’re not in the fucking club!

Anything that isn’t diagonal is a sin.

Why you be in here starting a war?

It is always diagonally for the bite ratio. All other cuts are blasphemy and should be burned as heretics.

Diagonal, but not corner to corner. In the middle off-angle from square.

Anyone who doesn’t say diagonal is wrong

Depends on the sandwich but when we’re talking about sliced bread, corner to corner.
