A few days ago my new grinder arrived. The Zuriga G2 GBW replaced my DF54. The DF54 did an amazing job to be honest. I had none of the issues which came up in this sub. I tried two to three different roasts a month so single dose came handy. But for now I found a pretty good dark roast which I buy in bigger quantities and freeze in zip bags with 250 grams each.
The Zuriga is so damn easy and works perfectly with my Rancilio portafilters. You hang the portafilter in, press the button and that's all it takes for a fluffy and fresh grind. No mess no matter if it is for single or double shots.
Next step would be to replace the Rancilio with another espresso machine. Faster heat up time and volumetric for single and double shots would be nice but I'm happy for now.

That grinder is so incredibly good looking, industrial with a hint of cuteness. New price is unfortunately too high for me but hoping for a good used deal some day.
