**This is a generic reminder message under every image post**

Thank you for your picture post to r/sousvide. We want to remind everyone of Rule #5. Posts should be accompanied by something to foster discussion. A comment, a question, etc is encouraged.

If you’ve posted a picture of something you’ve prepared, please explain why in a comment so people can have some sort of conversation. Simply dropping a picture of food in the sub isn’t really fostering any discussion which is what we’re all aiming for.

Posts that are a picture with no discussion can and will be removed by the mods.

    Thank you!!

Gosh, it’s just beginning and I’m already so sick of AI. It’s not just unhelpful but dangerous

Introducing extreme temp cooking, your chicken’s is ready before you can blink. The house however is gone

  4. sheepneek

lol I posted this exact same thing a couple days ago. Yeah I’m still heating up my water to temp. Gonna be a while

  5. bostonvikinguc

It auto removed the dash but it’s not hard to comprehend.

Well… hyphens are missing. But absent those hyphens, those appear to be the correct ranges for the various temperatures of steak doneness

How to I properly contain the circulating plasma?

  8. Where do I buy one with that temp range ? Alibaba?

  9. See, at those temperatures you overcome the major drawback of sous vide… the long cooking times.

I just got a smoker and now I have to buy a sun. They always do this bs

On the bright side, I don’t think you’ll need to worry about searing it afterwards…

People have been talking about how the easiest way to identify something that is written by AI is the use of the long dash. Obviously Google heard this and told their AI engine to stop using the long dash. Looks like it was following instructions too aggressively.

All of these numbers are correct if you put a dash between the middle two digits.

  16. PretzelMan96

That’s one way to make sure your steak ain’t mooing apparently

  17. Ancient-Chinglish

instructions clear, threw some ribeye flavored water at the sun

  18. HadedJipster

That is ridiculous and DANGEROUS. NEVER take your sous vide above 110,000 degrees. Violates the warranty.

  19. shamwowj

I’m just gonna throw my steak into the sun.

  20. Texadoro

My sous vide doesn’t get anywhere close to those temps.
