The only ONLY exception for me now is a Brazilian steakhouse, otherwise I can make better steak at home for cheap.

I bought a 1/4 steer this spring which equated to 300lbs and all for butchering and all it was $1500 so $5/lb. Burger price is about avg but everything else I’m making out pretty well. Made 4 NY strips the other day and was like yep that’s $20 on there but $70 if I bought it at Sam’s or something

When you can make your own steak, with the flavors you want, skipping any of the BS sides, AND not need to drive back home bc you ARE ALREADY home… this is an earthly nirvana.

Maybe I just haven’t been to good enough restaurants but restaurant food has NEVER been better than anything anyone who has ever cooked for me could make. It amazed me when I first started cooking at like 19 that the stuff I was making with 0 experience was so much better than most restaurant food. But that is a BEAUTIFUL steak great job

Not all steakhouses suck.
